We Care Deeply About Design

As a Product Designer, you’ll collaborate closely with our other Designer Jackie, our CEO (Din), product manager (Jakob), and engineers to craft intuitive, impactful solutions that delight users and drive innovation.

What You’ll Do:

• Shape the Product: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and execute design strategy and vision for new features and improvements.
• End-to-End Ownership: Lead design projects from concept to completion, including user research, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
• Build Beautiful and Intuitive Interfaces: Create designs that simplify complex workflows and are delightful to use.
• Design Systems: Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency and efficiency across our platform.
• Collaborate and Iterate: Participate in weekly design critiques, usability testing, and cross-functional discussions to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Establish Culture: Help foster a design-centric culture within Buena and mentor others in the team to raise the bar on quality.
• Attention to Detail: Advocate for pixel-perfect implementation and ensure the final product reflects the high standards of craftsmanship Buena is known for.

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for Design: You are deeply motivated to craft exceptional user experiences that solve real problems.
• Strong Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating high-quality, end-to-end product design work in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency with Tools: Expertise with Figma and familiarity with design systems, prototyping, and usability testing tools.
• Systems Thinking: Ability to think holistically about complex workflows and how individual components fit together.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Technical Awareness: While coding is not required, familiarity with technical constraints and opportunities is a big plus.
• High Standards: Relentless attention to detail and commitment to crafting exceptional user interfaces.
